  • Fostering a partnership with the National Center for Civil and Human Rights (Atlanta)
  • Fostering a partnership with the I. DeQuincey Newman Institute for Peace and Social Justice at the University of South Carolina
  • Hosting the 5th Donald L. Hollowell Lecture (Spring 2017)
  • Hosting the 2nd Health Equity Symposium at the UGA Gwinnett Center
  • Co-Hosting the UGA Charleston Syllabus Conference (September 2016) Development of a student-led community social justice forum in 2017, hosted in the Athens community and focusing on community social justice problems and seeking solutions from community members
  • Fostering a partnership between the National Center for Civil and Human Rights and Center for Social Justice, Human and Civil Rights at the University of Georgia
  • Working with the University of Georgia Art Education Department to sponsor the biennial Art for Social Justice Symposium at UGA in 2018
  • Participating in Annual Athens Human Rights Festival
